How to play

• Your cannon fires a steady stream of little runners. Drag left or right anywhere on the lane to aim it (or use the arrow keys).
• Gold ×2 and pink ×3 gates multiply every runner that passes through. Teal + gates add a burst, then recharge. Striped red − and ÷ gates take runners away.
• Gates slide in and out from the sides and sweep across the lane, so aim where a gate will be when your runners get there.
• Gates work on everyone: red runners heading down get multiplied too. Shoot through a gate before they reach it.
• Multiplier gates crack and shrink as runners pass, then break and rebuild a few seconds later. Spread your fire.
• A steel gate with a padlock eats runners. Pour enough in to count it down to zero and it opens a big multiplier.
• Every day has a twist, named on the start card: windy gates, gates that flip values, a ×5 jackpot, mirrored pairs, or locked vaults.
• Enemy runners stream down from the base and trade one for one with yours. Brutes and bosses take many hits. Anything that reaches your cannon costs a heart.
• Every 36 shots a giant launches on its own and plows through the enemy.
• Score = 1,000 for breaking the base + 25 for each heart left + 10 for every second under 1:30. Ties go to the faster run.

One ranked base a day, the same for everyone, with a new one at midnight Pacific. Monday is the gentlest; the week builds to a tough Sunday. If your cannon is overrun, that run doesn't count: go again. Want more? Play another as much as you like.

Tips for Crowd Cannon

• Aim where a gate will be, not where it is. Gates slide in from the sides and sweep across the lane, so lead your fire a little.
• Spread your fire. Multiplier gates crack and shrink as runners pass, then break and rebuild a few seconds later, so a gate you have just used is not the best target.
• Shoot through a gate before an enemy reaches it, because gates multiply red runners heading down too.
• Read the day's twist on the start card. Windy gates, flipped values, a jackpot, mirrored pairs and locked vaults each reward a different plan.

Common questions

Is Crowd Cannon free to play?

Yes. It is free in your browser on any device, with no download. Signing in is optional and only saves your streak and puts your result on the daily board.

Does the difficulty change through the week?

Yes. Monday is the gentlest, and the week builds to a tough Sunday. Every day also has its own twist, named on the start card.

What if my cannon is overrun?

That run does not count, so go again. You can also play another base as often as you like for practice.
