There's the obvious coziness angle, and then there's everything underneath it worth digging for. You could write the window seat or the kitchen corner at face value, but push past the furniture into what the spot actually does for you. Maybe it's the one place where a messy house stops mattering, or where a particular slant of afternoon light makes you feel briefly, inexplicably rich. Try the comedy route too: the favorite spot nobody else in the house respects, the ongoing border dispute over a chair. Or go quieter and stranger, a spot that only became favorite after something changed, a side of the bed, a step on the stairs, a place that holds an absence as much as a memory. The best version probably isn't about the spot at all. It's about what you go there to feel, or to stop feeling.
