Today's puzzle:
The newest history quiz is from Friday, October 30, 2026, and it has 5 questions. A fresh quiz arrives every other morning. Here they are; you drag the right answer into the box in the game.
- This founder of the Persian Achaemenid Empire is remembered for a clay cylinder often called an early charter of tolerance.
- This American president gave the short, famous Gettysburg Address in 1863.
- This temple to all the gods in Rome has a famous round dome with a hole at the top.
- This Scottish missionary and explorer of Africa named Victoria Falls and sought the source of the Nile.
- This Italian composer wrote 'The Four Seasons'.
Test your history with a short, friendly quiz that refreshes every day: figures, events, and discoveries from across the ages, all family-friendly. Drag-to-answer and race the clock.
How to play
- Read each history question.
- Drag the correct answer into the box.
- Answer them all to finish and post your time.
How to answer a history question
Each round shows one question and a few possible answers. Drag the right answer into the box, or tap it. Read the question for its clues before you look at the choices. Words like first, only, largest or last narrow the answer to one famous example. A date or a place can rule out half the choices at once.
Use the order of events. If you know that Egypt's pyramids are older than Rome, and Rome is older than the printing press, you can place most answers on a rough timeline and discard the ones that do not fit. When two answers look right, pick the one that matches the question's exact wording, not the one that sounds more famous.
What the quiz covers
The questions range across ancient empires, exploration, invention, art and politics, from Tutankhamun to the space age. They are written for a general audience, so most are gettable with common knowledge and a little reasoning, with a stretch question or two mixed in. Every question is family friendly.
Scoring
Your time is the clock plus eight seconds for every wrong answer, so accuracy matters more than speed. Taking a moment to think is cheaper than guessing twice.

Common questions
What kind of history does the quiz cover?
A little of everything: ancient empires, exploration, invention, art, and politics, from Tutankhamun to the space age. Questions are G-rated and written for a general audience: gettable with common knowledge, with a stretch question or two mixed in.
How do I get better at history trivia?
Learn the rough order of the big eras first, then add detail. If you can place an event before or after another, you can rule out wrong answers even when you do not know the right one.
How is the quiz scored?
Your time is the clock plus eight seconds for each wrong answer. A fast quiz with one mistake can lose to a slower one with none.
How many questions per day?
Usually five quick rounds. Each shows one question and a few candidate answers, and you drag the right one into the box while the clock keeps score, so accuracy and speed both matter.
Is it suitable for kids?
It is. The whole site is kid-safe by design, and the history quiz sticks to family-friendly topics. It works well as a two-minute daily learning habit on a phone, tablet, or desktop.
