About these puzzles
These change every morning. Five fresh printables a day — today’s whole pack, today’s word search, today’s crossword, today’s anagram puzzle and today’s logic puzzle. Every one of them comes with its answers.
Each button opens the sheets already typeset large, with a Print button on the page. If you would rather keep the file than print it now, press Print and choose Save as PDF where the print box asks where to send it.
Print the grid large on ordinary paper, circle the words with a pen, and check the solved grid on the answer sheet when you are done.
Or find them here. Drag across a word, or tap its first letter and then its last — either works, and the whole page is already in large print.
A word search is the friendliest puzzle there is: nothing to know, nothing to remember, just a grid and your eyes. It only stops being friendly when the letters are too small to scan comfortably — which is the version most of the free ones online are.
This one is set in oversized letters with space around them, and the words you find are not random. They slot into a quotation, so finishing the grid finishes a sentence worth reading.
What this is, in plain words
- No ads. A word search page ought to be quiet. There is no advertising on this site, so nothing moves in the corner of your eye while you are scanning a grid.
- No download needed to play. It runs in the browser. Nothing to install, and no request to open an app you do not want.
- Large print. The grid letters roughly double and thicken, and the word list, the timer and the buttons grow with them rather than staying small underneath.
- With answers. The printed sheet includes the solved grid, so nobody has to give up wondering whether a word was really in there.
- To play alone. One person, one grid, at your own pace. You can put it down mid-word and pick it up later.
- No sign up. No account and no email. Sign-in exists only to save a streak, and the puzzle does not change either way.

Common questions
How big is the grid?
It varies by day, and the size is chosen so the whole grid fits on the screen without pinching or side-scrolling — a large-print grid you have to drag around is not actually easier to use. On a phone there is a corner button that fills the screen with the puzzle and hides everything else.
Do the words go backwards and diagonally?
Yes, in both directions, which is what keeps it interesting. Every word is straight along one line, so there are no bends to chase and no letters shared in a way that traps you.
Is there really a new one every day?
Every morning, free, with no limit on how many days you play. Past grids stay in the archive and stay playable, so a missed day is not lost.
What is the quote for?
The hidden words are the missing pieces of a quotation, so the grid slowly completes a sentence as you find them. Some people work it the other way round — guess the quote, then you know what to hunt for.
