Logic puzzles on Boss Feed are daily deduction games: you get a handful of clues that are all true, and the job is to find the one arrangement that fits every clue. The main one is Morning Mystery, a cozy whodunit at a merchant caravan with five puzzle styles. Mini Lineup is the one-minute version. Zip Mate is a chess puzzle with a single answer: find the mate in one. All three are free, play in any browser, and change every morning.

How a logic grid works

A logic grid lists the suspects down one side and the facts across the top: what each person carried, where they stood, who they spoke to. Each clue rules something out, so you mark a cross. When a row has only one open square left, that square is a tick, and a tick clears the rest of its row and column. Work the clues in order, go back to the early ones once you know more, and the grid solves itself. There's a longer walkthrough in how to solve a logic grid puzzle.

The five Morning Mystery styles

Morning Mystery rotates through five kinds of deduction so each morning works a different muscle: the classic grid, a dual-category grid with two sets of facts, a directional map puzzle where clues say who stood north or east of whom, paired statements where one of each pair is a lie, and a lineup puzzle about the order people arrived. Every case has exactly one answer, and you can check it before you commit.

Mysteries to read, not solve

If you'd rather follow a mystery than crack one, The Lost Library is a free illustrated story about a bronze tablet, a Cameroonian orphanage and the library of Alexandria, written for older readers. The Conference is a shorter choose-your-path story.

Common questions

Are the logic puzzles free?

Yes. Morning Mystery, Mini Lineup and Zip Mate are free every day, with no app, no paywall and no account required. A free account only saves your streak and your solve times.

How long does a Morning Mystery take?

Mini Lineup is built for about a minute. A full Morning Mystery depends on the style and on how carefully you read the clues. There's no clock unless you want to race the leaderboard, so take it slow with your coffee if you like.

Can I play yesterday's mystery?

Yes. Every past case stays playable from the archive. You just won't land on the live leaderboard for an old date.

Do I need to know chess for Zip Mate?

Only how the pieces move. Every Zip Mate has one answer, a single move that gives checkmate right away, so it's a logic puzzle on a chessboard more than a game of chess. Practice mode has unlimited untimed positions if you want to warm up.
