Mini Lineup is a pocket-sized deduction puzzle. A small crowd stands in a grid, and each person either helped or pilfered. Every clue on the board is true, even the ones held by the pilferers, so the whole game is careful counting and a little spatial reasoning. A new board arrives each day and takes about a minute.

How to play

  1. Look at the grid. Each person either helped or pilfered, and you decide which.
  2. Mark someone once the clues force an answer. A correct mark opens that person's own clue.
  3. Every clue is true, so a pilferer's clue is as trustworthy as anyone else's.
  4. There is always one person the clues settle, so you never have to guess.
  5. Mark the whole crowd correctly to finish and post your time.

Common questions

How is Mini Lineup different from the full logic puzzles?

It is the same puzzle engine as the Lineup mode in Morning Mystery, squeezed onto a grid of nine people or fewer. That keeps a board to roughly a minute, so it fits a coffee break. For the longer deduction puzzles, see the daily logic puzzle.

Do I ever have to guess?

No. Every board is built so that, from the opening marks, at least one person is always settled by the clues you can see. If you feel stuck, a clue you have not used yet is almost certainly the way forward.

Does the difficulty change from day to day?

Yes. The level changes with the day of the week, and the grid size changes with the level. Today's level and grid are listed at the top of this page.
