Cryptogram tricks that work
A cryptogram swaps every letter for a symbol, here an emoji, and the same emoji always stands for the same letter. That makes it a pattern puzzle. Start with the free letters the puzzle gives you, and fill them in everywhere they appear.
Then use the shape of the words. A one letter word is A or I. A short word that appears several times is often THE, AND or OF. A word with a doubled letter, like LL, EE or OO, narrows the options a lot. A word that ends in a repeated pattern such as the same two symbols is often ING or ED.
Letter frequency helps too. In English, E is the most common letter, followed by T, A, O, I and N. The emoji that appears most is likely one of those. Try a guess, and watch whether the words around it start to look like English.
Hints and scoring
The Reveal a letter button fills in one letter for you. Each wrong guess and each reveal adds five seconds to your ranked time. Everyone decodes the same saying on the same day, so your time is comparable with other players.

Common questions
How do I start cracking the cipher?
Start with the free letters the puzzle reveals, then lean on English patterns: one-letter words are almost always A or I, a three-letter word is often THE or AND, and the sayings carry no apostrophes, only the odd comma or full stop. Each solved letter fills in everywhere at once, so the puzzle snowballs.
Is the hidden message the same for everyone?
Yes. Everyone decodes the same date-seeded proverb or quote each day, so you can compare times with friends. A new cipher arrives daily.
What if I get stuck?
Use the reveal-a-letter hint to break a logjam without spoiling the whole saying. Each wrong guess and each hint adds 5 seconds to your ranked time, so a hint can unstick you but it does cost you on the leaderboard.
