Ingredients

  • sugar candid, one pound
  • canarie wine, six ounces
  • rose water, four ounces
  • aqua imperialis, two pints
  • ambergris, musk, of each eighteen grains
  • yellow sanders, infused in aqua imperialis, two drams

Method

  1. Take of sugar candid, one pound; canarie wine, six ounces; rose water, four ounces.
  2. Make of these a syrup and boil it well, to which add of aqua imperialis, two pints; ambergris, musk, of each eighteen grains; yellow sanders, infused in aqua imperialis, two drams.

  • A perfumed syrup-based cordial built on an existing aqua imperialis.
