Ingredients

  • a gallon of Strawberries
  • a pint of Aqua vita
  • fine sugar (or else perfume) to sweeten

Method

  1. Take a gallon of Strawberries and put them into a pint of Aqua vita, let them stand so four or five days,
  2. strain them gently out and sweeten the water as you please with fine sugar; or else with perfume.

Notes

  • Base recipe for several of Caryl's fruit/berry redactions; note the short 4-5 day maceration.
