Browser game

A browser game is a game that runs inside a web browser, so it needs no download or installation.

You open a web address and play. That makes browser games easy to share, since the invitation is a link, and easy for a group, since everyone's device already has a browser. They work on phones, tablets, laptops and many smart TVs with no app store in between.

The trade-offs are real but shrinking. Browser games can be limited by memory and by the speed of the device, and they usually need a connection. For party games the benefits outweigh this. A host can start a game from the TV's browser, guests join from their phone's browser, and nobody installs anything.

All of Bossfeed's party games are browser games. There is no app to download and no account to make, and you can bookmark the page for next time.
